Gene regulation in norm and pathology: A PhD position is available in the gene regulation group to study the molecular mechanisms behind gene expression regulation (Wnt signaling, post-translational modification etc.), their role in cell differentiation, and the consequences of their malfunction in various diseases. The student will be trained to use predominantly molecular biology approaches (e.g. Q-PCR, ChIP, Co-IP, reporter assays) and microscopic techniques, and will participitate in establishing some more advanced techniques (e.g. CRISPR/Cas9 and stem cells).
